After a wait of about a year, it's here in full glory. "Starting Over" is a song in which Jennifer Lopez reflects on an old relationship and ponders starting from square one. It also marks a different sound for Danja, who brings a more radio-friendly adult contemporary sound with less eclectic synths. More orchestration has been added for the sake of the album version of the song, and reflects the versatile nature of Danja. This may well be another one of his résumé-building tracks that people will recall in the future when Danja's name is mentioned, even despite Jennifer's poor vocal showing.
Thanks to Edwin for the heads-up! Get well soon!

ReplyDeleteNot bad, not bad at all. J-Lo sounds pretty good on this. Now for the instrumental..lol
ReplyDeleteKinda remind me of Pharrell's "The Motivation 4 Me" produced by Indonesian top producers Solemnly.

i thought Danja made more songs for her album :-/
ReplyDeleteThere were at least two more which apparently got shelved :(
ReplyDeleteJ-Lo voice is terrible.. totally ruins track :(
ReplyDeleteat the end it wasnt that bad as i first thought it will be...
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's ms lago who mixes the voice but it's very bad!!
ReplyDeleteIt is very flat. Really no life or presence to her vocals. I wish dynamics became popular in music again and we could stop with all these loud, flat, limited mixes and breath life back into music.
ReplyDeleteyo i just found a pretty cool twitterpage about danja... www.twitter.com/danjafacts
ReplyDeletepretty useful infos on his production etc. check it!
