  1. Oh man...this is my new jam! lol The saxophone and synths are just too jammin'. I've been wishing people would bring the sax back for a while now! The hats are too bright/loud and step on the rest of the mix too much, but otherwise, I love everything about this. Not sure it does anything for T.I., though; he's kind of buried, and I didn't really listen to a single line of his lyrics.

  3. Can we get producers like Alex Niedt to give us their perspective on each of these classy Danja tracks?! Always an education reading them lol. You know instinctly what he's talking about but don't find the ways to describe them by what labels they are exactly or atleast be specific as he does.

I've compared this to 'Hell of a Life' where for me the track didn't do anything for T.I either and didn't pay attention to the lyrics. I was just caught up with the supreme beat by Danja much like this. He slightly delivers better on this however.

  4. I'm kinda disappointed by this track...the only thing i like is the sax in the back...but on the other hand I slowly tend to dislike "these kind" of danja tracks...I'm speakin of his 808 drumsets...Idk but to me its boring...I miss these older danja tracks...Imo no one could merge live drums and synths better then danja...so dope...but this sounds kinda industry-commitment...I mean in every second track u hear 808 kicks...snare rolls....nah...not my jank at all.

  7. Totally agree wit Beatfiya! BUT, when i first listen this... i thinked hmm... it'z nothing special, not too much "danja idea" but when listen sec and third ... maan i really like it, this drumms yeah 808 but bro, itz def danja sounded drums and you know it when the first kick drumming in your ears.

And hell yeah, danja drums always BANGING, no compromissumes, no punchy soft, when danja kick, your speakers the killers in the street !!!

I mean, def agree wit my bro Beatfiya, but other way, agree wit Alex! I hope on the album will be most different Danja beat, but really like it after 2-3 listenings.

  8. Sounds like a Leftover from Wyld Money's G Spot mixtape... it'd be funny if he wrote it, too.

I thought Danja was on to new sounds as regards hip-hop. I don't mind this track, though; I think it's rather good from the production perspective. It's quite elaborate, actually.

  9. Very reminiscent of Wyld Money's "Shout'. That kick at 2:54 is nasty. The CDQ mix is the same.

  11. Terrible mix of the vocals. Buried and completely unnoticed.

  13. I think this is a rough mix, the vocals are buried, the OHH is way too loud, and the instrumentation is messy... Not much to add to what u guys said... I think Danja made this one in 2 minutes, no climax, just the usual break downs with the stopping tape effect (tip for producers: sugar bytes effectrix)

Danja uses a lot the GT synth nowadays, this very sax sound was a highlight when roland demoed the synth updates!

@matthias: 808s and snare rolls are everywhere, that's why u need to do that... just to keep the fridge full ;)

  16. Am I the only one who thinks it's an oldish beat? T.I. has been incarcerated n whats not so I wouldn't be surprised. I mean that is the main reason I believe for why it sounds like it's from the hell of a life (pre-hello good morning) era

  17. I'm inclined to agree with you. Danja hasn't put out a song similar to this one since Summer 2009.
