You guys may remember we here at Danja Zone posted this track back in January when the track first became available, well today we get the opportunity to hear the possible final/alternate version of the track which is much better mastered than other one posted although the track is shorter and features a more guitar driven pop rocky beat. Check out the track here and enjoy!

What about Kevin Cossom's 'After This'??
ReplyDeleteI think this lacks the character the other version had!!
ReplyDeletei agree with your comment wish those little sounds were still in it!
ReplyDeletemuch better version! not only cuz timbo's horrible vocals arent featured, but it sounds much cleaner and neater.
ReplyDeleteThe Top 40 radio version, is more like it. I guarantee that this is the sound we'd have gotten from Timbo/Danja and Celine Dion if they had worked together.
ReplyDeleteOther Madonna/Timbo tracks, speak now or forever hold your peace!
Agree with Luke. And it's nice to hear a nicely mixed version, unlike the rougher mix of the last version.
ReplyDeleteBTW...Edwin, you're hearing mixing differences, not mastering. Mastering is a very subtle process, and the usage of the term is almost always inaccurate on blogs nowadays. When you're hearing changes in instrumentation or effects processing or large balance or tonal changes, it's because changes have been made in the mix. Mastering is done when the mix is final. Because they aren't the final mixes, early or alternate leaks are never mastered, but that is not why they sound so different or largely worse. It is because the tracks are not mixed or they're in the rough/temporary mixing stage. Most non-musicians, and even many (dare I say most, nowadays?) musicians typically can not hear the difference between an unmastered and mastered final mix, if set at equal volumes.
