It's dope BUT on the preview leak months back the beat was harder than this, particularly the synths on the hook. Watered down version I think. Kevin Cossom isnt the problem but I expected more from Danja on the beat..

I still don't understand why the 808 stuff is a half step lower than the key of the song rather than IN THE KEY OF THE SONG. Such a clashing sound. It would sound so much better. And Venture's right, and I'm gonna chalk that up as mixing for the loudness war.
Complaints aside, I actually still love the track/beat.
*sigh* Kinda strange...actually i love thr track but the mix surprised me a bit...negatively...therefore i hoped that this isnt the REAL REAL mix...the punsh is missin
YO if danja and his team read this.. Ima keep it real. This is constructive opinions. I love the demo. I could jam the demo on Repeat just 1 min of it. The demo on the HOOK is what made everything hot. I love how the headroom was compromised by the kick on the hook causeing the synth to sorta have a Sequence Gate Effect sound. IT WAS GENIUS. And Kevin Cossom vox on the hook was perfect perfect harmonies perfect melody and arrangement. Why did u guys feel u needed to change it so much on the hook?? Im not that fulfilled by the new version. Its missing its BALLS and Urgency! Blessings
Overall, the track just needs to breathe a bit. It's suffocating. And as much as I also love the Ross track "No. 1", it suffers the same fate...jam packed and pushed to the limit. "Hello Good Morning" was a bit better in this respect, but all these Danja bangers lately have been filled to the brim with layers of superfluous vocal parts and such, and they're mixed/mastered to a loudness that just kinda hurts your ears. But all that said, I still absolutely love and am inspired by all this stuff.
not feeling this one at all really. i used to be really hyped about the KC project - 'Say Cheese' is IMO one of the best Danja produced cuts ever and 'You Know What You Doin' is also next level. Seems to have gone downhill since then and now with this autotune stuff I'm not convinced at all.
Nop Didnt think so .... sory danja and kevin but i dont like this one just my personal opinion
ReplyDeleteI LIKE IT :D dope track imo!
ReplyDeleteDemo was 10 times better.
ReplyDeleteI would categorize this as a fail.
The sonics seem drowned down too.
This feels a slight mess.

- Agree with that assessment.

ReplyDeleteOWWW! Don't worry ppl a better quality version will come out when his album drops.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who noticed that the final version of "So Many Girls" equally had been watered down?
ReplyDeleteGonna have to get used to the altered chorus, not as whiny synths, and not-as-hard-hitting bass.

The sounds make it a Hello Good Morning Pt. 2 for me, but I'm still feeling the record!!
ReplyDeleteThe sonics def seem 'drowned down' and the 808 IS lower than the key. But still a great track!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, that is the final mix. Lago mixed it.

ReplyDeleteThats a real shame, because this had the potential to be one of the best Danja tracks in a while. As it turned out, its not. smh
ReplyDeleteAnd why did they waste Fab and Diddy's time? I hate it when they think new artist need features to survive.

ReplyDeleteNice trak, can't understand why Diddy is on it... Lol. Loso is ok on it but why diddy? I obviously have an idea why but obviously not for talent.
ReplyDeleteOMG this version sucks!! The Snippet was so much better.. fabulous and diddy ruined this track also..
ReplyDeleteStill a good record.. But danja has done waayyy better tracks than this. The magic is kinda missing and the mix is pretty flat.
ReplyDeleteSNIPPET WAS BETTER!
