I never heard the original, so I guess I get to take this from a different perspective. The instrumental and the vocal sound like they're at odds with each other. Like Danja was using too many of his R&B/Hip-Hop cues in this song. He hasn't produced a straight pop record in a little while, and it's showing. I couldn't compare this in the slightest to any of the Katharine McPhee records, even if I wanted to. Or the Britney ones.
I can blame it all on the fact that this is a remix. Of a very short song. And I will, but songs like this won't help Danja keep up with RedOne and JR Rotem, and anyone else who's currently well-versed in Pop. We need Open Toes, Part 2!
We got exclusives now? What a way to end the year.
ReplyDeleteits a nice remix
